Terms and Conditions

General

These terms and conditions apply to all agreements regarding car hire and chauffeur services entered into with Hyperlux via our website, telephone or email.

Booking and Payment

When booking a car hire, the reservation must be made via the website with a prepayment of at least DKK 1,000. The remaining amount can be paid via bank transfer, cash or charged to the same payment card by agreement. We do not accept MobilePay.

For chauffeur services, a quote is sent along with a payment link or invoice. The reservation is only finally confirmed once payment has been received.

Deposit

A deposit of DKK 5,000 is charged for car hire. The deposit is returned after the hire period, provided the vehicle is returned in the same condition without new damage or deficiencies.

Requirements for the Hirer

The main driver must be at least 24 years of age and hold a valid driving licence. An additional driver may be added, provided they are at least 24 years of age and hold a valid driving licence. All drivers must be approved by Hyperlux prior to the commencement of the hire period.

Responsibility and Use of Vehicle

The hirer is responsible for the vehicle throughout the hire period and is liable for damage, fines, charges and other costs incurred during the hire.

If reckless driving is detected via the company's system, the vehicle may be deactivated, the hire terminated immediately, and a fee of DKK 5,000 charged.

Insurance

All our vehicles are covered by liability insurance and comprehensive insurance (kasko). The excess (deductible) is DKK 15,000 per damage. The hirer is responsible for payment of the excess in the event of damage during the hire period.

Smoking

Smoking in the vehicles is not permitted. A cleaning fee of DKK 1,000 will be charged for any violation.

Late Return

A fee of DKK 1,000 is charged for late return.

Fines and Charges

The hirer is liable for all fines, parking charges, bridge tolls etc. An administration fee of DKK 299 per case is applied.

Cancellation

For cancellations more than 36 hours before collection, a fee of DKK 1,000 is charged. For cancellations less than 36 hours before collection, the full amount is charged.

Right to Cancel Bookings

Hyperlux reserves the right to cancel a booking in whole or in part without notice, provided there is a justified and reasonable basis, including but not limited to the following situations:

Suspicion of unlawful use of the vehicle
Suspicion of reckless driving or so-called dangerous driving
Threatening, aggressive or otherwise inappropriate behaviour by the customer towards staff or partners
Provision of false, incomplete or misleading information in connection with booking
Failure to meet hire requirements, including age, valid driving licence or payment
Suspicion of misuse of the vehicle or previous negative history with Hyperlux

Hyperlux always carries out a specific and individual assessment in each case, and cancellation will only take place on a justified basis.

In the above cases, Hyperlux reserves the right to withhold prepayment and deposit in whole or in part to cover losses, administrative costs and to reduce the risk of misuse.

Refusal at Collection

Hyperlux reserves the right to refuse handover of the vehicle at collection if the customer appears intoxicated, aggressive or otherwise unfit to drive the vehicle safely. In such cases, the same terms for withholding payment as for cancellation apply.

Force Majeure

The company cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond the company's control, including weather conditions, traffic, technical faults or government regulations.

Complaints

Any complaints must be communicated as soon as possible and no later than 24 hours after the end of the hire or service.

Governing Law

All agreements are subject to Danish law.
